PRESIDENT

Katrina Atkins

Katrina is a military spouse; her husband has served 17 years in the Air Force and is currently a professor at the US Air Force Academy. He has deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan, two of which were for 12 months. Katrina has a masters and a doctorate in education and used the GI Bill for her education. Dr. Atkins works in the education department at Peterson AFB. She is actively involved in veteran organizations such as Military Spouse Career Coalition (MSCC), Military, Veteran, and Spouse coalition (MVS), and many others. In her free time, she likes snowboarding and serving on the PTA board at her daughter’s elementary school.

1st VICE PRESIDENT

Paul DeCecco

Paul served for nearly 29 years in the United States Army as an Infantryman and later a Foreign Area Officer.  Paul has served in assignments across all regions in the United States, deployed to Asia, the Persian Gulf, Caribbean and to Afghanistan and was stationed overseas in multiple countries in the Western Hemisphere – Guatemala, Venezuela and Ecuador.  Currently Paul serves as the Director of Military and Veterans Programs for Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC).  He also is the college’s representative to the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce’s Military Advisory Council as well as the college’s outreach representative to the many military and veteran supporting organizations found in the Pikes Peak region.  In addition to PPCC, Paul is on the advisory board for the Home Front Military Network and volunteers for Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW).

2nd VICE PRESIDENT

Dana Rocha

Dana has held the position as Director of the Military and Veteran Success Center at Colorado State University-Pueblo since 2016. She has been working within higher education administration and military education for over 20 years in the state of Colorado. She has received two state IHL grants to help educate colleges and universities regarding military education, transition and credit transfer from the Colorado Department of Higher Education. She has also served as President for the Colorado Advisory Council on Military Education for 7 years as well as volunteer with the Employment Support for the Guard and Reserve. Ms. Rocha has assisted in curriculum development to aid our military with a better transition to college and given presentations at the state and on a national level. Her true passion is to serve those individuals and their families who have protected our nation and its future. Ms. Rocha holds a bachelor’s degree in Business/Human Resource and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Development both from Colorado Christian University. She is married and has 2 children and 1 grandchild. She enjoys golf, loves dogs, and spending time with her family.

TREASURER

Fletcher Brown

Fletcher served five years in the in the United States Army as a medical unit supply specialist. Fletcher was assigned to serve in Germany and in Saudi Arabia in support of Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Fletcher is currently the director of Military and Veteran Services at Regis University. Outside of work he is actively engaged in many veteran service organizations, including Team Red, White, and Blue; the Mission Continues; and the Colorado Veterans Project, where he hopes to help build a stronger, more supportive veteran community for all Colorado veterans.
